Hi Quincy
I am getting very excited for Christmas. I have a cute little "Charlie Brown" tree with vintage ornaments. There are some presents underneath it.
I'm on vacation from school now. Yesterday I hiked 6 miles and climbed up a mountain in Poway called Iron Mountain. I'm fixing up my little house. I do have an extra bedroom. It is not furnished for visitors yet, but I look forward to fixing it up if you will come to visit.
Hope you are being a good boy
I will call you on Christmas! love Grandma

hitting off the holiday season
Thanksgiving was quiet. Jessica and I joined Grandma Geno for her meal, then we all went for a walk on the Oceanside pier.
I got to visit "team Williams" in North Bend this weekend. I had a lot of fun hanging out with my grandson Quincy. I discovered that I REALLY DO LIKE SCOOBY-DOO!
I also remembered that Washington is COLD! Quincy and I waited till noon one day to walk to the park and there was still frost and ice everywhere.
It was great fun to go out shopping with the Family for a christmas tree. But then I had to thaw out my feet. It was all worth it!!! a great treat to visit.

I am still celebrating my birthday! Ann and I spent the day in Balboa park. We had lunch at the sculpture garden Cafe at the art museum. Ann always charms our waiters. I wrote your name on the table cloth.
We rode the park trolley and saw an exhibit in the photography museum. And outside we saw SANTA CLAUS!
Then on to Encinitas for coffee and we stopped in Carlsbad for a walk on the beach and the sunset. All on a sunny 79 degree day. life is good.

birthday week
We decided at the last minute to take our birthday party to Disneyland! Wish you were there. We went on Space Mountain 3 times! Everything was decorated for Christmas and Christmas music was playing. At night, after the parade, big machines blew out pretend snow. We folks in Southern California get pretty excited about that. But I am looking forward to seeing REAL snow in Washington soon.Wednesday, I helped Auntie Jessica buy her new (old) Dodge Van. I forgot to take a picture.
Sunday, was a ride up to Mount Laguna to a spot where the hang gliders jump off. You can see one of them behind me.
This week school is out. I'm having fun doing some Christmas shopping! love grandma

First November weekend
Great Grandma and I went out for lunch at Red Lobster. We got a Lobster Pizza! Then we went shopping at Barnes and Noble. I bought a book for you Quincy. I love books.
Then on Sunday, Matt and I went for a motorcycle ride like we usually do. We often stop at St Isabel Casino for breakfast where we can sit and look out over Lake Henshaw and Mount Palomar.
After breakfast we rode out to Anza Borrego Desert. There is a rich man who has
a large portion of property in the desert who has placed some fantastic metal sculptures out in the middle of nowhere. Here I am admiring the sculptures. There are horses, elephants, eagles, and saber tooth tigers!

Then, tonight Auntie Jessica and I went for a walk on the beach and out to dinner at a Sushi bar. I forgot to take a picture! We are planning to go out shopping for a car on wednesday. I will take a picture of that. love grandma
