First November weekend

Great Grandma and I went out for lunch at Red Lobster. We got a Lobster Pizza! Then we went shopping at Barnes and Noble. I bought a book for you Quincy. I love books.

Then on Sunday, Matt and I went for a motorcycle ride like we usually do. We often stop at St Isabel Casino for breakfast where we can sit and look out over Lake Henshaw and Mount Palomar.
After breakfast we rode out to Anza Borrego Desert. There is a rich man who has
a large portion of property in the desert who has placed some fantastic metal sculptures out in the middle of nowhere. Here I am admiring the sculptures. There are horses, elephants, eagles, and saber tooth tigers!
Then, tonight Auntie Jessica and I went for a walk on the beach and out to dinner at a Sushi bar. I forgot to take a picture! We are planning to go out shopping for a car on wednesday. I will take a picture of that. love grandma

Halloween weekend

Friday night Tyson and I went out to dinner at Lampost Pizza to celebrate his 21st birthday. I made him sit in the pub and bought him his first legal beer. I don't know if he really wanted the beer all that much, but it's tradition!

Next, Saturday I joined my hiking club and hiked 8 miles up South Fortuna Mountain in Mission Trails Park in San Diego. Grandma has this thing about climbing mountains., It was a beautiful day, although I had been sick all week with a cold and found the trek to be a bit more tiring than usual.

Sunday was another gorgeous sunny day. Matt and I went motorcycling to the mountains for breakfast at Ramona Cafe, and then on through the desert. Matt caught a wasp in his helmet, I made it through unscathed except for chapped lips and plugged ears from a cold, ear plugs, and elevation changes. Life is good. (I don't seem to be able to control where photos and text appear on this entry, please bear with me while I learn).

My School

Hi Quincy
I work at a school helping children to be better listeners and speakers. here is a picture of the door of my room. Right now I have a flag outside with a scarecrow for autumn.
There is a picture of the inside of my classroom. We have a big room with 3 teachers and lots of kids.
There is a picture of two of my helpers named Isabel and Anna. They both speak Spanish and help me with the students who speak Spanish.
Today we had a Halloween party for lunch. There is a picture of some of the teachers at my school at the party.
