Hi Quincy! We had company for Easter. Aunt Chuck, Cousins Sarah, Bob, and Griffin came to visit. You see I made a birthday cake for Aunt Chuck. It doesn't look like your mom's cakes, but it tasted good. Your uncles and great grandma also came for dinner. We had some fun days walking on the pier and going for picnics. Griffin and I went to see the movie "how to train your dragon". It was great fun and Griffin wore his 3-D glasses all week. They left today to go camping in the Anza Borrego desert. The days are turning long and warm here. love you, Grandma

Hi Quincy. I'm missing you since I arrived back in Vista. We really had a good time making Easter Eggs. We got to walk to the park almost every day. I especially like the picture of you when you asked to go on such a cold day,and then you fell asleep! I really liked that you came and woke me up each morning to tell me the "tun" was shining. We had a good time eating our meals together and watching T.V. I especially liked our popcorn and cracker parties on grandma's bed. You are such a big boy and so much fun. I think we will have many more good times together. I will see you again in the summer. love grandma

Valentine's day weekend

Hi Quincy

I don't have many pictures....I just figured out that I CAN download photos on my school computer, so here we go. I had a wonderful weekend. One of the things I got to do was visit my friends Ann and Zack. They rented a cottage up at Crystal Cove in Laguna Beach. It is an old beach community with cottages built in the 1920's and 30's that have not been allowed to change since 1939. It is now a State park. The coastline is a beautiful underwater park with tidepools and such. The state has renovated 26 of the old cottages and rent them out. There is a great restaurant where I enjoyed a breakfast with my friends while looking out at the beach and ocean. I was especially fascinated with some of the old cottages that have not been renovated yet and took some pictures of them. I miss you and am thinking of planning a visit soon. love grandma

C hristmas day.... breakfast, presents, a motorcycle ride up to check out the recently opened West Santa Isabel Preserve. Then a marvelous dinner (if the cook says so herself) with most of the Voigtlander Clan. We missed you Cicely, Dan, and Quincy!

Hi Quincy

I am getting very excited for Christmas. I have a cute little "Charlie Brown" tree with vintage ornaments. There are some presents underneath it.

I'm on vacation from school now. Yesterday I hiked 6 miles and climbed up a mountain in Poway called Iron Mountain. I'm fixing up my little house. I do have an extra bedroom. It is not furnished for visitors yet, but I look forward to fixing it up if you will come to visit.

Hope you are being a good boy
I will call you on Christmas! love Grandma

hitting off the holiday season

Thanksgiving was quiet. Jessica and I joined Grandma Geno for her meal, then we all went for a walk on the Oceanside pier.

I got to visit "team Williams" in North Bend this weekend. I had a lot of fun hanging out with my grandson Quincy. I discovered that I REALLY DO LIKE SCOOBY-DOO!

I also remembered that Washington is COLD! Quincy and I waited till noon one day to walk to the park and there was still frost and ice everywhere.

It was great fun to go out shopping with the Family for a christmas tree. But then I had to thaw out my feet. It was all worth it!!! a great treat to visit.
